Alex Araki

Alex Araki has a diverse range of work experience in the field of science and healthcare. They worked as a Research Associate at Gordian Biotechnology starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they were a Research Technician I at Northwestern University from June to October 2021.

In 2020, Alex was a Science Communication Student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying science communication methods under Dr. Dietram Scheufele.

From 2018 to 2021, Alex worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Krishanu Saha Lab at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery. Their responsibilities included gene expression profiling, investigating delivery mechanisms for gene editing, and developing precise genome editing methods for gene therapies.

In 2019, Alex participated in the Mobile Health Clinic Program Abroad with the VILLAGE HEALTH PROJECT in Uganda. They planned and executed malaria and HIV clinics, assisted local healthcare professionals, and held maternal health clinics with educational activities.

In addition, Alex gained experience as a Summer Intern at Mount Sinai Health System in 2019 and at Yale University in 2017.

Alex Araki completed their undergraduate education from 2018 to 2021 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics & Genomics, with Honors in Research. The primary field of study for Alex's degree was Genetics.
