Jan van Haaften is an experienced project manager and team leader with a strong background in public financial management, rural development, and emergency aid coordination. Currently leading a team at GOPA Worldwide Consultants in Kigali, Rwanda, Jan supports the East African Community Regional Centre of Excellence for Vaccines, Immunization, and Health Supply Chain Management. Previous roles include serving as a public financial management expert for Rwanda’s Green Fund at ICON-INSTITUTE Consulting Gruppe, deputy team leader at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Sierra Leone, and programme manager for HELVETAS in Tanzania. Jan has also held various advisory and management positions with the European Commission and Médecins Sans Frontières, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable development and improved health outcomes across diverse regions. Jan holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
