Zongwei Zhou is an accomplished Senior Staff Software Engineer and Manager at Google since June 2017, specializing in high-performance machine learning and artificial intelligence, large models, XLA compiler optimizations, and TPU hardware-software co-design. Previously, Zongwei was a founding engineer at Acetti Software, where significant contributions included developing a core product that optimized network performance for cloud-native applications. Prior to that, Zongwei worked at VMware as a leading researcher, focusing on improving application performance with non-volatile storage devices, and previously interned at Microsoft Research. Zongwei holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Automation from Tsinghua University.
