Yida Lin is a Software Engineer currently employed at Google since April 2022, focusing on Google Cloud distributed network infrastructure and Google Assistant features. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon from February 2020 to April 2022, where Yida developed a settings framework for Fire TV Edition Smart TVs and led the implementation of a system service in the Android Open Source Project. Earlier, Yida served as a Teaching Assistant at Columbia University, contributing to courses on distributed systems and data analysis, while also working as a Research Associate at LIINC Lab, developing GUI software for neuroscientific research. Yida holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia University and degrees from The Johns Hopkins University and Oberlin College.
