Nabil Schear is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google, focusing on Security Command Center Threat Detection since October 2024. Prior to this role, Nabil served as a Staff Security Engineer and Senior Security Partner at Netflix from December 2019 to October 2024. Nabil's earlier experience includes positions as Senior Staff and Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory from October 2011 to December 2019, and Scientist 3 and Undergraduate Coop Student at Los Alamos National Laboratory from August 2001 to October 2011. Nabil holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2007-2011), an MS in Computer Science from UC San Diego (2006-2007), and a BS in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology (2000-2004).
