Joyita Banerjee is a seasoned UX researcher with extensive experience at leading organizations, currently serving as a Staff UX Researcher for Gen AI Gmail Growth at Google since July 2023, where Joyita leads research efforts for Gmail's global growth strategy. Prior roles at Google include managing teams and driving research initiatives within the Area 120 Incubator, focusing on AI-based product development and leading research for Discover. Joyita has also contributed to Airbnb’s international guest strategy and held various positions at Google from 2013 to 2019. Earlier career experience includes consulting roles at Deloitte and the State Farm Youth Advisory Board, along with academic-focused research supporting diversity initiatives. Joyita holds degrees in Psychology, Finance, and Marketing from the University of Washington and participated in an International Management Exchange Programme at Alliance Manchester Business School.
