Igor Karpov is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in human-machine learning, currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Google since December 2012. Previous roles at Google include Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer, all focused on human-machine learning. Karpov's academic career includes positions as a Graduate Research Assistant and Research Educator at The University of Texas at Austin, where contributions were made to the Computational Intelligence in Game Design research stream. Earlier experience involves internships at Honda Research Institute USA, ITA Software, Google Inc., and work as a Junior Software Developer at TriActive, Inc. Karpov holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Rice University.
