Ian Alderman is an experienced engineering manager currently working at Google since July 2022. Prior to this role, Ian served as a Data Engineering Manager at American Family Insurance from October 2019 to July 2022, and previously as a Data Engineer. Ian's career began in software engineering at Propeller Health, followed by a role as a Senior Solution Architect and Senior Software Engineer at Cycle Computing, LLC, where technical leadership was provided for a high-performance computing cloud platform. Consistent contributions as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison involved the design and implementation of security systems for Condor environments, and earlier experience includes roles in security engineering and research support programming. Ian holds a PhD in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.Eng. in Computer Science from Cornell University.
