Casey Olives serves as the Head of Data Science for Gemini Evals and Core Modeling and for Gemini Mobile & Assistant at Google since October 2023. With extensive experience in data science leadership, Casey co-founded Petriage, a veterinary telehealth platform, and holds roles as a member of the Board of Directors and Science Advisor. Prior to Google, Casey was the Head of Data Science at Avantus and Director of Data Science at Twitter, where a team of over 70 was led in various consumer-focused areas. Previous positions include Senior Director at Convoy Inc, Senior Data Scientist at Premise Data, Data Science Manager at The Climate Corporation, and lead statistician at the University of Washington. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biostatistics from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a BA in Mathematics from Carleton College.
