Bill Cox is a highly experienced software engineer and technology leader with a diverse background spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at Google since January 2015, Bill is known for rapid technology development, including contributions to the Android Cloud Key Vault. Prior to Google, Bill held the position of CTO in the ViASIC Software Division at Triad Semiconductor, focusing on early software development. As the CTO and Founder of ViASIC from 2000 to 2010, Bill was involved in all aspects, from technology invention to marketing. Bill’s career also includes programming roles at Synplicity, QuickLogic, and National Semiconductor, where significant contributions included the development of schematic generators and CAD programs. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
