Rebecca Short is a skilled researcher and scientist currently serving as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, where responsibilities include designing and synthesizing new materials for rubber compounds to enhance traction, rolling resistance, and wear properties. Prior experience includes graduate studies at the University of Florida, where Rebecca Short focused on polymer synthesis and photochemistry while also acting as a teaching assistant and safety coordinator. Additional internships at The Lubrizol Corporation and the Adolphe Merkle Institute provided valuable exposure to rheological and thermal analyses of materials. Rebecca Short holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
