Rickey Goins Jr. currently serves as a Case Manager at Goodwill of Silicon Valley, beginning in October 2022. Previously, Rickey held the position of Private Tutor at Varsity Tutors from June 2017 to June 2019, and served as Assistant Principal at Rocketship Education between May 2015 and June 2017. From June 2013 to May 2015, Rickey was a Manager of Teacher Leadership Development for Teach For America, focusing on developing corps members to promote educational equity. Prior experience includes being a Science Educators Leadership Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine from October 2010 to June 2013 and a 4th Grade ESL Teacher with Teach For America Houston in 2010. Additionally, Rickey worked as a Human Capital Fellow with Houston ISD, a Student Assistant at Florida State University Housing, and a Peer Educator Coordinator for the Victim Advocate Program. Rickey holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Florida State University and an ACP in Education from the University of St. Thomas.
