Amy Good has been a leader in the non-profit sector for over 35 years. Amy began their career as a caseworker at Barat Human Services, where they quickly rose through the ranks to become Program Director. In 1985, they founded Alternatives For Girls, a Detroit-based organization that provides resources and support to at-risk and homeless young women. Under their leadership, AFG has grown from a small local charity to a multi-million dollar organization with national reach.
In addition to their work at AFG, Amy is also a member of Vistage Michigan, a coaching and leadership development group for CEO's and other leaders. Amy has been involved with Vistage for over 9 years, and credits the group with helping their to grow and develop as a leader.
Amy is a passionate advocate for social justice, and has dedicated their life to helping others. Amy is a powerful speaker and an inspiring leader, and they have made a lasting impact on the lives of countless young women.
Amy Good has a MSW from the University of Michigan in the field of Individuals, Families, and Children, and Poverty from 1978-1980. Amy also has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan from 1974-1977.
