Wayne Wong has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Wayne began their career as a Media Planner at MEC Malaysia in 2010 and then worked as a Sales Executive at IGP Media from 2012 to 2014. Wayne joined All Response Media in 2014 as a Planner Buyer and was later promoted to Senior Planner Buyer in 2015. In 2016, they held the role of International Media Manager at Pace Media - TV Advertising Agency before transitioning to AV Manager at The Specialist Works in the same year. Wayne then worked as an Account Manager at Global TV Experts from November 2020 to January 2021. Currently, they are serving as a Broadcast Director at Goodstuff, where they started as a Broadcast Director in April 2021 and was later promoted to Group Broadcast Director in July 2023.

Wayne Wong obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Macquarie University, where they studied from 2005 to 2006.
