Henry Mei

Sr. Director, Data Science at GoodRx

Henry Mei has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a project manager and marketing intern at OpenStudy. From 2010 to 2013, they also served as a graduate research assistant, teaching assistant, and research assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2013, Mei became an instructor of Mathematics at Georgia Governor's Honors Program until 2014.

In 2015, Mei joined Soylent as a data scientist and later became the director of analytics until 2018. Henry then worked as the Head of Data at Saucey from November 2018 to January 2019.

In 2019, Mei joined GoodRx as a lead data analyst and progressed to manager of data science in 2020 and senior manager of data science in 2021. Their most recent role at GoodRx, starting in June 2022, is as the Director of Data Science & Advanced Analytics.

Additionally, Mei has experience in the gaming industry, serving as the Assistant Director of Photography at MomoCon LLC from 2012 to 2013 and then as the Director of LAN from 2013 to 2021.

Henry Mei began their education by attending George Walton High School from 2005 to 2009. Henry then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering/Applied Mathematics at Georgia Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2012. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued at Georgia Institute of Technology to obtain a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from 2012 to 2013. However, Henry Mei did not complete their doctoral studies and dropped out of the PhD program in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, which they pursued from 2012 to 2015.

In addition to their academic education, Henry Mei has also obtained several certifications. In 2013, they became a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) through the Project Management Institute. Henry further enhanced their project management skills by completing the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in December 2014. In 2017, they obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance, demonstrating their competence in agile project management. Continuing their professional development, Henry Mei obtained the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in March 2018. Most recently, they acquired two project management certifications: the Program Management Professional (PgMP) from the Project Management Institute in July 2022 and the dbt Fundamentals certification from dbt Labs in May 2022.
