Alyssa Garcia has an extensive work experience. Alyssa most recently worked at Good Shepherd Services as the Senior Vice President, where they supervised multiple programs and budgets across the Bronx, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President and the Division Director of Brooklyn Community Based Programs at the same organization. In these positions, they supervised various programs and budgets and was responsible for their maintenance. Alyssa also worked as the Chairperson of the Diversity Council at Good Shepherd Services, where they played a key role in promoting leadership, equity, and diversity within the organization. Before joining Good Shepherd Services, they worked at Visitation Alternatives as a Social Worker, conducting supervised family visits and providing advocacy for children during custody hearings.
Alyssa Garcia holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Stony Brook University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware from 1995 to 1999.
