Betsy Whitney serves as the Chief Philanthropy Officer at Good Samaritan Hospice, Inc. since May 2021, bringing a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership. Previously, Betsy was the Deputy Director at Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley and served as an Advisor for Leadership Roanoke Valley from 2007 to June 2023. Other roles include Annual Giving Officer at Carilion Clinic from March 2013 to May 2021 and Capital Campaign Coordinator for Total Action Against Poverty, where Betsy successfully coordinated a $4 million campaign for the Dumas Center in Roanoke, VA. Betsy Whitney earned a degree from Roanoke College, completing studies from 1977 to 1981.
