Stefan Torges currently serves as the Head of Fellowship at Non-Trivial since February 2024 and has held multiple roles within the Future of Humanity Institute at Oxford University, including Research Affiliate since June 2020 and Visiting Fellow from January to April 2020. As a Superforecaster at Good Judgment Inc since September 2020, Stefan contributes expertise in predictive analytics. Previously, as Director of Operations at the Center on Long-Term Risk from November 2018 to June 2023, Stefan led operations and community-building efforts. Additionally, as Managing Director and Co-Executive Director at Polaris Ventures from May 2021 to June 2023, strategic planning and grantmaking were primary responsibilities. Earlier roles include Executive Director at Raising for Effective Giving from December 2016 to December 2018 and Project Manager at Sentience Politics for a year, where Stefan organized an international conference and a political campaign. Stefan Torges earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Cognitive Science from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg between 2011 and 2015.
