Jennifer Gates is an experienced educator with a robust background in elementary education, currently serving as a 4th Grade Teacher at Goochland County Public Schools since August 2010. Recognized as Goochland County Teacher of the Year in 2017, Jennifer has actively participated in various committees, including Curriculum, Courtyard, and School Improvement Plan, while contributing to after-school tutoring and programs. Previously, Jennifer spent three years as a 3rd Grade Teacher at Newport News Public Schools, where responsibilities included leading the Extended Day Tutoring and serving on multiple committees. Jennifer has also presented at numerous educational conferences, focusing on reading and science education. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Longwood University, earned in 2006.
