Amr Barakat has had a varied and successful career in the tech industry. Amr began their career in 2016 as the Founder & CEO of Audiogram llc, a telecom startup that allowed users to personalize their Ring Back Tone. In 2018, they became the Secretary General of Startups JO, an organization that aimed to support entrepreneurs with guidance, idea validation, and refinement. In 2019, they founded and became the CEO of VASMob, a software solutions company specializing in telecom and enterprise services. In 2020, they became the Founder & Chief Business Officer of QWQ, an on-demand platform that turns any shop into a virtual ATM. Finally, in 2021, they joined the board of ConnKit.
Amr Barakat obtained a High School degree from Talitha Kumi - German Evangelical Lutheran School in 2009. Amr then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Banking and Finance from American University of Madaba - AUM from 2013 to 2016. In October 2022, they obtained a Fintech Foundation Program Flex certification from 10x1000 Tech for Inclusion. Amr is currently enrolled in an Online Certificate program in Digital Competition in Financial Services at Copenhagen Business School, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
