Derick Berg Fontes has worked in the IT field since 2008. Derick began their career as an IT Support Technician for Nube - Núcleo Brasileiro de Estágios. Derick then moved up to become an IT Support Analyst and IT Support Coordinator at the same company. In 2013, they joined XPG - Siga esta Corrente as a System Administrator (SysAdmin). Finally, in 2016, they were appointed IT Operations Manager and then IT Operations Director at GoCache.

Derick Berg Fontes completed their Tecnologia em Redes de Computadores degree from Faculdade de Informática e Administração Paulista - FIAP in 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Ensino Médio Técnico in Processamento de Dados from COPI - Colégio Paulista in 2007.
