Howard Ogawa has extensive work experience in product management and leadership roles. Starting in 1994, they worked in merchandise planning at Warner Bros. Entertainment before moving on to become a product manager at The Walt Disney Company in 1996. In 1999, they joined Toytime.com as an online marketing manager. From 2000 to 2005, they served as the director of business development and product at CarsDirect.com, where they developed and managed online partnerships and products for lead generation.
In 2005, Ogawa became the executive director of product at Edmunds.com, where they defined product roadmaps, sitemaps, SEO strategy, and design and UX. Howard also led product development for the Edmunds and Inside Line sites, including a full site redesign and the creation of a new CMS system. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as the head of product at UBM Advanstar, leading the development of a B2B commerce platform.
Ogawa then joined Sysomos in 2015 as a product lead for the Influence SaaS application, focusing on helping marketers identify and track social influencers. Howard later moved to Ticketmaster in 2016, where they served as the VP of product for the marketplace. In this role, they led product strategy, roadmap planning, product management, and UX for Ticketmaster's websites and apps, with a focus on optimizing the purchase flow UX for high-demand events.
In 2021, Ogawa joined Pluto TV as the senior director of client platform, where they played a key role in the leading FAST OTT service's operations within ViacomCBS Streaming. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Product at GOAT Group, starting in 2022.
Howard Ogawa holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Loyola Marymount University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In November 2020, they completed a certification course on "Pitching Yourself" offered by Jodi Glickman through LinkedIn.
