Samantha Zaharevitz is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in metabolic disease phenotyping and drug discovery. Currently serving as Principal Scientist II and Scientific Tech Leader at GNF since 2004, Samantha has been instrumental in setting up and validating metabolic disease assays, as well as coordinating phenotype analysis for genetic mutants. Previously, Samantha held the role of Principal Research Associate at Phenomix Corporation, where responsibilities included managing phenotype data analysis and transitioning metabolic assays to an Australian team. Samantha's earlier experience at GNF involved applying gene profiling to cancer research, while at The Scripps Research Institute, foundational work was conducted on immunologic memory and B-cell development. Samantha earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 1990.
