Richard Washburn has a diverse background in the medical and engineering fields. Richard has held various roles, starting as a Mechanical Engineer at EDGE Product Development in 1994. Richard then worked at Stratos Product Development and Comet Design as a Mechanical Engineer, where they developed products for clients such as Apple and Nike. In 2002, they joined Interpore Cross International as a Senior Product Manager. From 2005 to 2011, they worked at Globus Medical as the Director of Marketing. In 2011, they became the President of Core Essence Orthopaedics. In 2013, they co-founded Trice Medical and served as its Chief Technology Officer. Richard later joined Medicrea in 2017 as the EVP of UNiDâ„¢ Adaptive Spine Intelligence. Currently, they are working at Globus Medical as the VP of Business Development and Integration since November 2019. Richard'swork experience spans across engineering, marketing, and executive roles, with a focus on orthopedic diagnostics and medical technology innovation.
Richard Washburn earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from UCLA Anderson School of Management from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 1989 and 1994.
