Chris Holmes has work experience at multiple companies. Chris began their career at Xilinx in 2016 as a Design Solutions and Verification Engineer. In 2017, they joined Openet as a Graduate Software Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Software Engineer, where they worked until the end of 2020. In 2020, they joined Optum as a Software Engineer and remained in that role until February 2022. Currently, Chris is a Software Engineer II at G-P/Globalization Partners, starting in February 2022.

Chris Holmes completed their education from 2007 to 2013 at Clifden Community School in Clifden, Co. Galway, where they obtained their Leaving Certificate. From 2013 to 2017, they attended Dublin City University and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electronic and Computing Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Chris has obtained several certifications. In September 2021, they became a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) from The Linux Foundation. In March 2022, they completed the Node.js Essential Training from LinkedIn. Most recently, in May 2023, they obtained the AWS Learning: Serverless certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
