Joanne Ke Edelman serves as the Associate Director at The Global Development Incubator since 2015, focusing on growth engineering to tackle global challenges. As Chief Operating Officer at the Refugee Investment Network from 2018 to 2024, Joanne worked on impact investing initiatives to support refugee ventures and advocate for inclusive policies. Previous roles include Project Manager at The Oxygen Hub in 2020, Chief Operating Officer at Emerging Public Leaders from 2016 to 2018, and Private Sector Development at The World Bank/IFC from 2011 to 2015. Additional experience includes strategy roles at TechChange, consulting at L.E.K., and positions at Ashoka and the Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship. Joanne holds a BA (Hons)/MA in Economics & Management from the University of Oxford and two degrees from Georgetown University: an MA in Applied Economics and an Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching.
