Andy Deacon serves as the Co-Managing Director at the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) since January 2020, with roles including Acting Managing Director and Director of Strategy and Operations. In addition, Andy has been the Director at Future Climate since August 2015, focusing on innovative solutions for sustainable energy in collaboration with practitioners and policymakers. Previously, Andy was the Sustainable Energy Investment Forum Manager at Climate Alliance from August 2016 to January 2020. Other notable positions include Managing Partner at Global Action Plan, Director of Development and Director of Delivery at Energy Saving Trust, Strategy Manager for Climate, Energy, and Air Quality at GLA, and roles at Defra and the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution. Andy holds an MSc in Applied Meteorology and Climatology from the University of Birmingham and a degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Roehampton.
