Li Yang

Dr. Li is Associate Professor of Marketing at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) in Beijing. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia Business School in the field of quantitative marketing. His current research focuses on big data modeling, with emphases related to text mining, pricing, consumer choice, and competitive strategy.

Professor Li has published on leading academic journals such as Management Science and Journal of Marketing Research, and reviewed for Operations Research, Journal of Marketing Research and Management Science. At CKGSB, Professor Li teaches marketing management and big data marketing to C-level executive students. Prior to joining business academia, Dr. Li had earned a bachelor degree in electronics science from Peking University, a master degree in biomedical engineering from Columbia University, and had worked for United Nations in New York City.

Dr. Li has consulted for Tencent, Baidu, Alibaba and Yonghui Groups in China, and also holds a U.S. patent on medical imaging.
