Kai Viljanen is a seasoned technology expert with over 30 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industry, currently serving as Chief Architect for Cloud & IT infrastructure at Telia since May 2000. In this role, Kai is responsible for developing and implementing cloud and IT strategies, technology roadmaps, and architecture governance, while also managing vendor relationships and leading RFP processes. Previous positions at Telia include Lead IT Architect and IT Architect, focusing on data center solutions and infrastructure standardization. Prior to Telia, Kai worked as a Unix System Specialist at Instru Data and in various roles within the Finnish Defence Forces. Kai holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Telecommunications and an Engineer's degree in Communications Technology. Additionally, as a member of the GLG Network, Kai assists clients in addressing complex challenges related to IT and cloud infrastructure.
