Werner Murach is an experienced mining professional with a career spanning over a decade in various managerial roles. Currently serving as Superintendent at Glencore since April 2022, Werner previously held the position of Development Superintendent at Downer Carrapateena from October 2020 to April 2022. Prior to that, Werner worked at Barminco as a Project Manager for nearly ten years, successfully guiding a mine from project inception to full operation and increasing the workforce from 80 to over 200. Additionally, Werner held roles as Project Manager at Redpath Mining and as Underground Foreman/Project Manager at Barminco earlier in the career. Werner's educational background includes a high school certificate from Rosebery District High School and further studies in English and Mathematics at various institutions.
