Cathy Chen has held several software engineering roles over the past few years. In 2020, they were a Mobile Application Developer at PennApps and a Back End Developer at Gallop. Cathy also worked as a Back End Developer at Keep.id, where they worked closely with Mongodb to implement various backend features. In 2021, they were a Step Intern at Google, and in 2022 they were a Software Engineer Intern at Google. Most recently, in 2023, they became an Incoming Software Engineer at Glean. In 2020, they also worked as a Software Engineer at 猫眼娱乐有限公司, where they worked with RESTful API to create a website for operations, sales, data and other company divisions. Her skills included MyBatis (MySQL), MySQL, Spring (Spring MVC), and Java.

Cathy Chen began their educational journey at St. Stephen's Episcopal School, where they obtained their High School Diploma in 2019. Cathy then attended the University of Pennsylvania, where they completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science in 2023 and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
