Nicky Carson has extensive experience in automation and security within the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare sectors, having served in various roles at GSK since December 2005, including OT Security Programme Manager, Automation Manager, Lead Automation Engineer, and more. Key responsibilities have included leading a multi-million pound OT Security transformation programme, developing digitalization strategies for batch automation, and managing detailed design and execution of control systems. Prior to GSK, Nicky worked at Booth Welsh as a Systems Engineer and at Johnson Controls and Motherwell Bridge Ltd in commissioning roles, gaining expertise in HVAC applications and instrumentation. Nicky’s technical foundation was built through a comprehensive apprenticeship and degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, culminating in a Chartered Engineer designation from The Institution of Engineering and Technology.
