Valerie C. has a comprehensive work experience in the field of clinical research and ophthalmology. Valerie is currently working as a Manager of Clinical Operations at Glaukos Corporation since March 2023. Prior to this, Valerie worked at Merck from 2020 to 2023, where they held various roles including US CPOC, Senior Clinical Research Associate, and Clinical Research Associate. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Clinical Site Manager II (Oncology) at Parexel. Before that, Valerie was a Clinical Research Associate (CRA)/Ophthalmic Device/Drug at Glaukos Corporation from 2016 to 2018. Valerie also has experience working at Emory University as a Clinical Research Finance Manager/Oncology from 2015 to 2016, and as a Clinical Research Coordinator III/Oncology from 2013 to 2015. Valerie started their career at Emory Healthcare as a Certified Refractive Ophthalmic Technician/Clinical Research Coordinator from 2007 to 2013. Valerie began their professional journey as an Ophthalmic Technician at Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island from 2003 to 2007.

Valerie C. attended Auburn University from 1998 to 2002 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration. In addition, Valerie has acquired the Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) certification from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in October 2020, as well as the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification from IJCAHPO in March 2010.
