Alana Mayo is the President of Production and Development at Outlier Society, the production company she formed with Michael B. Jordan. At Outlier Society, Ms. Mayo oversees development of a broad range of new projects from feature films to scripted and non-scripted TV shows to short-form Web series. Prior to forming Outlier Society, Ms. Mayo served as a VP at Paramount Pictures, where she worked on The Big Short, Fences, and Selma. She has also worked as a creative executive at Vimeo and 20th Century Fox. Ms. Mayo is a graduate of Columbia University with a degree in English and Comparative Literature, and Film Studies.
