Paul Niehaus currently serves as the Chancellor's Associates Endowed Chair in Economics at the University of California at San Diego, where Paul has held various academic positions since 2009. Their research focuses on the impact and implementation of anti-poverty programs in Africa and South Asia. As a co-founder and director of GiveDirectly, Niehaus has been instrumental in establishing the organization as a leader in cash transfers, achieving over $50 million in revenue and receiving accolades for its cost-effectiveness. Paul also co-founded Taptap Send and Segovia Corporation, contributing to the growth and success of both digital remittance and technology companies. Paul Niehaus earned a PhD in Economics and a BS in Applied Math from Harvard University.
