Austin Boardman has held various positions across a variety of industries since 2011. Austin's career has included roles such as 5th Grade Teacher for Teach for America, AVID Tutor for Tulsa Public Schools, REU Fellow for Maryland Sea Grant, Research Technician for the University of Tulsa, Herpetological Conservation Intern for the National Park Service, Business Analyst and later Director Of Operations for the Skin Care Institute, Biological Science Technician for the National Park Service, and most recently, Data Analyst for Gitwit. In these positions, they have performed tasks such as creating dashboards and data visualizations, writing and deploying code, implementing and maintaining ETL pipelines, supervising staff, leading field crews, collecting aerial imagery, conducting surveys, creating webmaps, analyzing vector data, and running statistical analysis.
Austin Boardman received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology, General from The University of Tulsa in 2014. Austin then continued their education at Oklahoma State University, earning a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from 2016 to 2017 and a Master of Science - MS in Geography from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, they have certifications from the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) for Wilderness First Aid, obtained in June 2019, and from the Federal Aviation Administration for a Part 107 Remote Pilot (Drone/UAS) License obtained in April 2018.
