François Rosé is an experienced engineering manager with a strong background in software development and leadership across multiple companies. At GitLab since December 2022, François serves as an Engineering Manager. Previously, François managed the Media Streaming platform team at SoundCloud from May 2019 to September 2022, ensuring high availability and quality for a large audio catalog, and leading significant backend infrastructure projects. François also held roles at Native Instruments from February 2017 to April 2019, focusing on desktop application development and achieving notable user success metrics, and at Secure-IC, engaging in advanced cryptography and software design. Early career experiences include software engineering roles at Creme Global and Technicolor, along with internships that laid a foundation in computer vision and embedded systems. François holds a Master of Engineering in Electronics and Computer Engineering from INSA Rennes, complemented by academic pursuits at Aalborg University.
