Michael Bruno's work experience begins in 2008 at Hollywood Records, where they worked as a Recording Artist for the band Honor Society. Michael served as the lead singer, lead guitarist, and songwriter, achieving success with a Top 20 Billboard Album. During this time, they also wrote, recorded, and produced original music and video content, as well as collaborated with distribution partners for release launch and promotion.
From 2013 to 2015, Michael worked at BassicBlack Ent. as a Musician (Guitar), performing live guitar on television. Michael collaborated with A-List talent such as Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Williams in high-pressure live TV performances.
In 2016, Michael joined GIPHY as an Associate Producer and Director. Michael then progressed to become a Producer, overseeing branded content for major brands like Pepsi, StateFarm, and Nature Valley. Michael also played a key role in developing and executing GIPHY's popular "talent reaction packs," resulting in over 10 billion views on talent projects they produced and/or directed.
Michael later transitioned to a Partnerships role at GIPHY in 2018, managing relationships with top television networks, digital agencies, and brands. Michael was responsible for bringing current priority and iconic properties to the platform and working with top-tier talent from the television and music world to create custom content. In this role, they successfully led the implementation of a Friends library channel on GIPHY, featuring over 3000 official GIFs for the show's 25th anniversary.
In February 2020, Michael was promoted to the position of Director, Partnerships at GIPHY, where they continue to contribute to the growth and success of the company's partnerships department.
Michael Bruno attended New York University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management.
