Samantha Wellerstein is an accomplished public health professional currently serving as Associate Director at Gilead Sciences since June 2022. With a robust background at the Kaiser Family Foundation from September 2014 to April 2022, Samantha held various roles including Senior Program Manager, Program Manager, and Program Associate. Earlier experience includes positions as Communications Manager and Communications Specialist at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles (July 2012 - September 2014), Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA/RAND Prevention Research Center (December 2011 - June 2012), Medical Group Intern at Kaiser Permanente (June 2011 - September 2011), and Program Specialist at Save a Child's Heart in Israel (August 2009 - July 2010). Samantha earned a Master of Public Health in Health Management and Policy from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus on Gender and Health from the University of Michigan.
