Manuel J. Santamaria currently serves as Director at Gilead Sciences, overseeing a grants portfolio that includes strategic initiatives such as the Creating Possible Fund and the Healthcare, Education, Access and Leadership (HEAL) initiative. As Principal at Eleven 5 Partnerships, Manuel J. Santamaria advances the mission and impact of various organizations through strategy development and philanthropic advising. Previously, as Vice President of Community Impact at Silicon Valley Community Foundation, Manuel J. Santamaria developed grantmaking strategies and managed evaluation efforts, and also held the position of Grantmaking Director, where community outreach and stakeholder relationships were key responsibilities. Manuel J. Santamaria has served on the board of the Mission Asset Fund, focusing on financial stability for low-income families, and held the role of Past Board Member with Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees. Manuel J. Santamaria holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations with a minor in International Business from San Francisco State University.
