Carl Ruel has extensive experience in IT leadership within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as the Global Head of IT R&D/Quality at Gilead Sciences, Ruel previously held the position of Senior Director IT R&D/Quality Solutions at BlueRock Therapeutics, as well as Senior Director of Business Engagement & Capability Development at Radius Health, Inc. Prior roles include Senior Director of Business Relationship Management and Senior Director of IT Business Systems (R&D) at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, and Sr. Director of Information Services & Project Management at BG Medicine. Ruel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Université de Sherbrooke and a College Degree in Applied/Mathematical Science from Sherbrooke College.
