Derrick Hardison currently serves as a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate for the Gila River Indian Community, providing critical support services to victims and their families affected by sexual violence. Prior to this role, Derrick gained experience as a Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager at Native American Connections and a Case Manager at Child Crisis Arizona and Umom Newday Centers. Derrick's career began in the US Army, where significant responsibilities included serving as a Senior Supply Sergeant and managing complex logistics operations. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Compliance and Regulations from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts from the University of Oklahoma, along with additional qualifications in medical imaging and radiation therapy.
