Melissa Shaw possesses extensive experience in the field of counseling and mental health, currently serving as Manager of the Clinical School Counseling Program at Gila River Health Care since March 2018. Melissa has been the Owner and Therapist at Thrive Counseling, LLC, since December 2008, specializing in children, adolescents, and parenting. Previous roles include SMI Evaluator at Crisis Preparation & Recovery, Mental Health Professional at Maricopa County, School Based Therapist at District Medical Group of Arizona, and various other counseling and program coordination positions. Education includes a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University.
