Ramakrishna Manchiraju has a diverse range of work experience in the software engineering field. Ramakrishna started their career at Rendezvous On Chip as a Software Engineer in 2000 and stayed there for three years. Ramakrishna then worked as a Project Engineer at Wipro Technologies in 2003. In 2004, they became a Technical Lead at Aricent, where they also served as a member of the Avici Terabit Switch Router (TSR®) Dev Team until 2007.
In 2008, Ramakrishna joined Cisco as an Embedded Software consultant and later transitioned to Tellabs in 2011, where they worked as a Staff member in the Mobile Routing team until 2013.
Following their tenure at Tellabs, they returned to Cisco as a Software Engineer, focusing on Top-of-Rack, Layer 2 and 3 Switching for data center environments. Ramakrishna was involved in designing new features and enhancements until 2014.
Since 2014, they have been working at Gigamon as a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for developing data path provisioning software and high-performance algorithms for packet processing in virtual environments such as VMs, Containers, and Hypervisors. Additionally, they design and develops software that interacts with various cloud platforms and provides traffic acquisition, aggregation, filtering, tunneling, and encryption support. Ramakrishna also supports Kubernetes Container visibility with Flannel or Calico network options.
Ramakrishna Manchiraju completed their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree in Computer Science from Osmania University from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electronics & Science from Andhra University. The specific duration of their undergraduate studies is not provided.
