Mujtaba Jalil

Hardware Development Manager at Giatec

Mujtaba Jalil has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Mujtaba is currently employed as an Electrical Engineering Designer at Giatec | Smart Construction Solutions since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Embedded System Design Engineer at TRAINFO Corp. from December 2017 to April 2021. Their responsibilities in this role included hardware research and development for Intelligent Transportation Systems, hardware and software support on Traffic and Travel Time Monitoring projects, and PCB design using EagleCAD and Altium.

Mujtaba also gained experience at WE (Wind Energy) Design as a Member Control Systems from May 2017 to June 2020. Here, they were responsible for developing a control strategy and dynamic mathematical system model for a small-scale wind turbine, as well as performing data analytics for power factor verification.

In addition, Mujtaba worked as a Teaching Assistant at the International College of Manitoba (ICM) from May 2012 to April 2020. Their responsibilities included organizing tutorials and quizzes for mathematics courses, presenting review lectures, supervising exams, and improving communication with students from different cultural backgrounds.

Furthermore, Mujtaba gained experience as a Systems Developer at MORR Transportation Consulting Ltd. from April 2015 to November 2017. In this role, they were involved in hardware development for Intelligent Transportation Systems, software support on Traffic and Travel Time Monitoring projects, and PCB design.

Additionally, Mujtaba worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Manitoba in the summer of 2014. Their responsibilities included implementing GPGPUs in Computational Electromagnetics, writing a formal report on CUDA and OpenCL framework usage, and developing a routine to parallelize algorithms for computing inverse matrix problems related to Near-field antennas.

Mujtaba Jalil began their education at the International College of Manitoba (ICM) in 2010 where they pursued UTP Stage II in Engineering. After completing their program there in 2011, they went on to enroll at the University of Manitoba. From 2011 to 2018, Mujtaba studied at the University of Manitoba and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.Sc. Eng.) with a focus on Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering.
