Ishan Shah is an accomplished associate research engineer specializing in machine learning, currently working at GH Labs since November 2021 on projects related to automatic visual evaluation for cervical cancer images. Previously, Ishan held positions as a machine learning algorithm engineer at Roche, where a proof-of-concept for federated learning was developed and data engineering pipelines for object detection were established. Ishan's research experience includes a role as a graduate research assistant at Stanford University, enhancing tissue alignment algorithms, and a data science internship at RTI International, focusing on data generation processes. Ishan has also contributed to data science initiatives through leadership roles, including co-presidency at Carolina Analytics and Data Science, and has practical experience with data visualization and analysis gained during internships at Bayer Crop Science, Reese News Lab, and Trey, PBC. Ishan earned a Master of Science in Statistics with a focus on Data Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics and Analytics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
