Michaela Meier is currently working as a Kuratorin für Rohstoffe und Bergbau at Deutsches Museum since June 2023. Prior to this, Michaela worked as a Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Projektleiterin at Geothermie-Allianz Bayern, and as a Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin mit akademischem Abschluss at Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research. Michaela has a Ph.D. in Geowissenschaften from the University of Bremen, along with a Master of Science in Marine Geosciences and a Bachelor of Science in Geowissenschaften. Throughout their career, Michaela has gained experience in various geoscience-related roles, including conducting research projects and organizing educational programs.
