Kevin Weaver is the Construction Materials Testing/Special Inspections (CMT/SI) Group Manager for the firm’s East Region. His primary responsibilities include directing the operational, administrative and financial tasks for the group, including business development, overseeing the technical aspects of pursuits and projects, providing technical guidance to the staff, implementing uniform processes at all locations and increasing versatility for service lines and employees.
Mr. Weaver’s extensive experience has helped him develop a vast knowledge of his field. His specialties include the performance of slope stability analyses, settlement analyses, foundation analyses and design, footing, drilled shaft, driven and augercast pile and anchor tieback installation reviews.
Kevin also has experience with structural masonry, structural steel bolted and welded connections review, fireproofing testing, reinforced concrete, review of paint coating thicknesses, and concrete relative humidity and moisture emissions testing.
Mr. Weaver is a civil and environmental engineering graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He began his career with Thelen Associates, Inc. in 1995 as a co-op student. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. In addition, he is a Certified Welding Inspector (AWS) and National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) Inspecting Engineer.
Kevin has been instrumental through the years in the development of policies and procedures in his area of responsibility. Additionally, he is a recognized leader in the field of Special Inspections. Over the course of his career, he has worked on projects for General Electric, Paul Brown Stadium, and multiple projects within downtown Cincinnati that have aided in the city’s revitalization.
Kevin has been and continues to be the Project Manager for the numerous projects across Cincinnati. These project sites include the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, and Miami University at the Oxford, Ohio campus. His technical and managerial experience are a benefit to both the clients and the staff.
