Richard E. Burns is the current director of Georgia's Own Credit Union and has an extensive background in the financial industry. Richard has served on the boards of several companies, including Hennessy Capital IV, Hennessy Capital III, Hennessy Capital Acquisitions II, and Duraline Holdings Inc. Richard also served as the president of AT&T Wireless Network from December 2002 to April 2008. In addition to their work in the financial industry, Burns has also served as a senior advisor for a top 3 consulting firm from April 2008 to December 2018. Richard currently serves as the board chairperson for Georgia's Own Credit Union.

Richard E. Burns graduated from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management with an MBA in Business. Prior to that, they received a Masters in Engineering from the University of Louisville and a BS in Engineering from the same school.
