Rachel Heeren

Graduate Teaching Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology

Rachel Heeren is a dedicated undergraduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, pursuing dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, expected to graduate in May 2024. Currently serving as a Severe Behavior Program Intern at the Marcus Autism Center and a Cardiology Researcher at Piedmont, Rachel also holds the role of Medical Scribe with ProScribe, where duties include documenting patient-provider interactions for over 5000 patients. Previous experience includes roles as an Organic Chemistry Pedagogy Researcher, Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, and Learning Assistant at Georgia Tech, as well as a Head Lifeguard for the Georgia Tech VIP Program. Additional internships involved research in solar flares and machine learning with a focus on remote sensing at the Stevens Institute of Technology and Liberty Science Center. Rachel's background combines advanced research capabilities with practical healthcare experience and leadership skills in aquatic safety.
